Over the past weeks we had quite a few sunny days. Many breaks in the cloud cover and plenty cold air ensured the snow stayed put for a while, creating a patchwork of white and brown over the Flows. The summits of mountains like Ben Hope and Morven were completely covered.
Although most snow seems gone from lower grounds now, our #WinterFlows photo competition is still open for entries until 31 March. If not venturing out in the Flow Country anytime soon, you still might have some photos sitting on your smartphone or hard drive, taken during the last few weeks! Find out about the competition on our share page.
Something slightly different, Maciej Winiarczyk, well known for his stunning Aurora Borealis photography, captured a short video fragment of the wintery Flow Country landscape with a UAV.

At RSPB Forsinard Flows National Nature Reserve, some snowy views were recorded from the Lookout by warden Paul Turner.
