The Flow Country Partnership are hiring!
We are very excited to announce that we are currently hiring for two roles within the Flow Country Partnership. We’re looking for a Flow Country Partnership project manager and a World Heritage project co-ordinator.
The Flow Country Partnership exists to bring together a community including crofters, farmers, landowners/managers, local businesses, residents, ecologists and local government to grow the resilience of the Flow Country and its people. Both roles will facilitate work on and around the Flow Country, contributing to work programmes to achieve the above aim through protection, restoration and enrichment of The Flow Country landscape.
World Heritage Project Co-ordinator
The Flow Country was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in July 2024, in
recognition of the Outstanding Universal Value of its blanket bog ecosystem. It is the
world’s first and currently only peatland WHS and as such plays a critical role in the
advancement of the understanding and appreciation of peatland habitats, for nature and
people.
The co-ordinator will be responsible for facilitating World Heritage Site (WHS) activity on behalf of Flow Country Partnership and The Flow Country World Heritage Site Steering Committee and lead
on certain elements of the work.
We’re looking for a highly experienced individual who has worked on similar projects
or initiatives managing a work programme which is of critical importance to combat
climate and ecological impacts.
